There’s a “war on Christmas” in the same sense that Tyler Durden and Jack the Narrator had a “fistfight”

Consider: every time a non-Christian is exhorted to have a “Merry Christmas,” the holiday itself becomes less about Christ and more about something else. Presents and Santa Claus, probably. Or pagan symbols like trees and holly.
To me, this is the most baffling — and obvious — aspect of the so-called War on Christmas. If Fox News is hell-bent, for whatever reason, on getting everyone to say “Merry Christmas” instead of “Happy Holidays” or whatnot, the net effect is only to make the holiday itself less Christian.
(Which, for the record, I am totally fine with.)
